SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER

SOSi is seeking a SharePoint Developer to support a dynamic program in Kuwait. The SharePoint Developer shall provide services in support of the development and administration of the SharePoint environment, including operational engineering, sustainment, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of the portal.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct support for optimizing the use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization.
• Collaborate with DoD staff personnel to elicit and document website requirements to design new functionality within SharePoint sites.
• Advise and develop implementation plans for the basic design of the portal and sites.
• Design and implement the installation of SharePoint sites, to include the execution of IA auditing tools and remediation of the SharePoint of the SharePoint server farm, installing structured query language (SQL) Server database instances to support the overall SharePoint collaboration environment, and creating and maintaining backup and template solutions.
• Provide designs and implementations for custom sites, lists, libraries, and views for those items.
• Design, develop and maintain custom SharePoint web parts and workflows within Visual Studio to support the overall collaboration mission.
• Ensure senior level system administration functions shall include the following:
• Operation, sustainment, monitoring and maintenance
• Capacity planning
• Database structures
• Search architecture
• Backup/Restore
• Permissions and audiences
• Migration and migration tools
• SQL Database Administration (DBA)
• Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer
• Work closely with Active Directory and Virtual Machine teams or personnel to administer and maintain the SharePoint environment.
• Perform operational assessments of the existing SharePoint Infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
• Active in scope DoD Secret security clearance.
• 3+ years experience managing DoD SharePoint infrastructures in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or relevant education.
• Current US Passport.
• Ability to meet Visa and CRC CENTCOM Mod-17 Deployment Requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Meet DOD 8570 IAT II certification such as Security+ or equivalent.
• Masters degree in Management Information Systems or relevant IT level degree.
• Fluency in a foreign language is desired but not required.
Working Conditions
• Working environment is a climate-controlled facility. Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
